DNG files
DNG files are Digital Negative Image files used to save digital photos in an uncompressed format. DNG is a public archival format that provides a universal open format for saving images. Since cameras use many different raw formats, Adobe Systems designed the DNG format to simplify the photographer's workflow by providing a standard format to replace the plethora of proprietary formats. Camera manufacturers such as Casio, Leica, Samsung, Ricoh, and Pentax have released cameras that directly support the DNG format
